Emotional Intelligence, innovation championing, and How culture connects them

Does the Emotional Intelligence (EQ) of leaders truly drive innovation, or does the local "culture" dictate more how new ideas take flight? 💡

I am thrilled to announce the publication of our latest research, "Emotional intelligence as an antecedent to innovation championing behavior and the effects of cultural tightness-looseness," now live in the International Journal of Innovation Studies.

Our study explores the critical intersection of psychology, culture, and strategy: how EQ empowers leaders to champion breakthrough ideas and how the "tightness" or "looseness" of a culture influences that success.

A massive thank you to my esteemed co-authors—Yefeng Wang, Soroush Aslani, and K. Praveen Parboteeah—for their invaluable insights and collaboration throughout this journey.

Why this matters:
The International Journal of Innovation Studies (KeAi/Elsevier) is a prestigious, Q1-ranked peer-reviewed forum. It is at the forefront of examining innovation ecosystems, institutional transformation, and high-impact economic growth. Contributing to this global dialogue on strategic management is both an honor and a responsibility.

For leaders navigating digital transformation or building high-performance cultures, understanding these behavioral drivers is the key to sustainable growth.

I’m always happy to discuss these findings or how they apply to your organization’s innovation roadmap. Feel free to reach out directly or read the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/gq_JnewP
